Wilkins Bridal was the 3rd dress shop in Christchurch I went to and was by far the most helpful! Shailo was so patient, it was the only place I didn’t feel rushed and nothing was a bother.

We are so grateful we went and saw April! The range of dresses was beautiful, well made and reasonably priced. April was an expert in body types, her stock, and pulled great dresses. She made it a positive, fun, and efficient experience. To be honest we went to another bridal shop after and it was a disaster - so we were extra grateful for the experience at Wilkins.

I was really nervous and unsure what I was going to look like in a bridal dresses before getting to the store as I never show my arms or upper body much but as soon as April started working her magic I felt so at ease as she knew what looked good and what wouldn’t. I found a dress I love (although I loved nearly all of them) which surprisingly showed my shoulders and nearly all of my arms, and it’s perfect. The whole experience has made me feel so confident that I will look good on my wedding day. Thank you April!

Out of all the bridal dress shops I went to, Wilkins Bridal is by far the best! Great variety, affordable and high-quality dresses, and all-round incredible service. April and her team are fabulous - they even picked out for me the dress that I said "yes" to. Would highly recommend!

I first came to Wilkins several months ago, at the recommendation of a friend. (She bought her dress many many years ago). I went with my best mate, for a double appointment. I wasn't sure about what styles of dress would work for me, so April did the most FANTASTIC job of putting me in loads of different styles to figure out what I liked and didn't like. Meanwhile, my best mate found her dress and I got to witness her "Say Yes to the Dress". Unbeknownst to me I also found my dress, but I played it safe, and walked away ready to keep looking while I continued planning what our wedding would look like. Several months later, after visiting other bridal stores (and having some horrific experiences) and trying on more gowns, I knew I needed to go back to Wilkins and get the dress I loved on that first day. Having been to other boutiques and trying on other gowns, I just wanted to say that absolutely no where else beats Wilkins. I will not be recommending ANY OTHER location to anyone else I know. Yes they have a fabulous selection of gowns, but the absolute joy, honesty, and professionalism from the consultants (especially April), is unparalleled. April has so much experience and I genuinely loved her candidness when it came to certain dresses. She knew my dress was "the one" before I did. Thank you, for everything, I have one of the big things ticked off now!

I had an amazing experience at Wilkins Bridal. It was my first time trying on wedding dresses and being a shy tomboy I was quite nervous, not expecting to like many dresses. I was put at ease straight away as soon as I met April. She was so helpful and I found it really easy to just be myself around her. I ended up having the opposite problem to what I was expecting and liked pretty much all of the dresses I tried on and felt really confident which is rare for me. April brought me so many options to figure out which style I liked and knew how to clip/pin them perfectly to make them fit. She definitely knows her stuff and I feel like she would be able to find the dream dress for any shape or size! Could not recommend this place more :)

I was so worried about nothing fitting me or feeling insecure or just hating my entire experience. It was completely the opposite. Shailo was so lovely and accommodating, made me feel comfortable and answered any queries we had.

Super helpful! Lots of variety, and got to try on a range of dresses. 1.5hours was a perfect amount of time. My assistant was very caring and certainly knew her stuff but I didn't feel pressured in any direction. Loved that my team of girls felt part of the process also, they were encouraged to pick out dresses and feel the fabrics and give their opinions. Great fun.

My time at Wilkins Bridal was amazing - I felt so comfortable and in an environment I could express my likes and dislikes which lead me to finding the perfect dress! I loved April and how much fun she was. She was super knowledgable and I tried on heaps of dresses and felt gorgeous.

I had such a great session at Wilkins! I tried on about 15 dresses and was able to make little changes like adding veils and sleeves as I wanted to. Very kind staff, great options and awesome pricing as well!

April was absolutely amazing and although I only had a sale appointment she went out of her way to show me as many dresses as possible in the time we had. She listened and gave feedback as well as asking questions about the wedding and how we met (a nice personal touch). As we were leaving town the next morning, April let me pop in and try a dress on again which I really appreciated. I'm happy to say I said yes to the dress! Overall it was a great experience and I was made to feel comfortable every step of the way. Cannot recommend April highly enough, she went above and beyond to make the experience so special. The woman who worked with me absolutely knew my body shape and size , found out what I liked and fitted me with the perfect dress . It made the experience relaxed and made me feel pretty. Also very good that she included my mum, nana and son in picking out dresses! Best experience!
