Every moment was perfect for my first dress shopping experience. I loved how personal the whole experience is and how comfortable you made me feel from the moment I arrived. I was nervous going into the appointment and had no clue what I wanted but was very encouraged and thankful for the guidance.

There were so many dress options but everything was spaced out beautifully so it’s not overwhelming. Also so many different options for however you choose to spend your big day! Brooke and I first visited Ivory Room Wooster in July when Carrolyn was having a clearance sale on party dresses to make more room for wedding dresses. Our house was about to go on the market and I was in the backyard weeding. I quickly changed clothes and we headed downtown. Brooke insisted I try on a wedding dress on the clearance rack. I was hesitant but it turned out to be lovely and I bought it not knowing if and when I would use it. Once I knew we would marry on the beach, I tried the previous dress on and decided it wasn’t the right look. On December 23, I luckily found an appointment for December 27. I filled out the form and told Carrolyn she was only the second person to know our plans. I didn’t know if it was possible, but I needed to walk out Wednesday with dress in hand because I was getting on a plane Friday. I knew that I wanted Brooke at my appointment even if she didn’t know I’d be wearing the dress in three days! I arrived first so Carrolyn and I could talk and then Brooke was dropped off from practice. I wanted to surprise her but the darn basketball schedule threw a wrench in my plans. I didn’t have a vision but Carrolyn knew exactly what would look amazing on me and had several off the rack options. We truly had a boutique wedding dress experience. I was hoping to find a dress that would fit pretty well yet had six beautiful choices and had a hard decision between two. Brooke helped tip the scale, and she was absolutely right. It fit perfectly. The accessory choices were vast and gorgeous. I chose the headpiece, earrings and bracelet and another pair of fun earrings to wear during our trip. There were endless choices, so again, I left it to the expert. I joked with Carrolyn that I was helping her bring up the median bridal age. You might not be searching for a bridal gown, but perhaps a white dress for an upcoming event or can refer a bride. Ivory Room is a wonderful addition to downtown Wooster and their expansion into the former White’s Jewelers is a testament to their growth. Carrolyn is a breeze to work alongside and made the experience lovely. She listened fully and worked with me having no idea what I hoped to look like. There are so many dresses and having an expert pick is a gift. Not only was she so accommodating to me, but also the guests I brought with me. We had such an amazing time and I found a dress I feel so beautiful and confident in!
